I'm not sure I'd want to put a pair of 815's in my living room, but what a deal........ why is it the deals are always out of state, or multiple states away????? Siiiiiigh.

If your living room only has 32 inch doors, it will never be a worry.

I've built 2 pairs of 815's. They are awesome, if you're looking for mid-bass with the dynamic impact of a sledgehammer.

Don't get me wrong, what they do, they do EXTREMELY well. But it's limited to about 100-1000hz. They're truly a midbass horn.

Altec's application notes recommend a steep high pass filter at 75hz.

One thing i've always wondered but never took the time to try for hifi apps was about running them without the back panels in a corner or semi-corner loaded arrangement to get better LF response.
